Marvel’s VisionQuest finally has a spot on the calendar. The series premieres Oct. 14, 2026, on Disney+, and it closes out the story that began with WandaVision. Paul Bettany returns as Vision. James Spader comes back as Ultron. Terry Matalas runs the show.
Marvel confirmed the date at Disney’s 2026 Upfronts, where Bettany announced it in person. So here’s everything we actually know so far — the plot, the cast, the trilogy connection, and where that trailer stands.
When does VisionQuest premiere?
VisionQuest debuts Wednesday, Oct. 14, on Disney+. It runs eight episodes. Marvel typically rolls its Disney+ series out weekly, but the studio hasn’t spelled out the exact schedule yet.
What is VisionQuest about?
Marvel’s official synopsis sets up a Vision on the run. He’s been rebooted, and he’s escaped the people who wanted to weaponize him. Now he’s in hiding, searching for meaning. Then a bounty lands on his head. To survive, he has to forge real connections and embrace a found family.
This is the White Vision from the end of WandaVision. He carries the memories the original Vision handed him, yet he struggles to connect with them. Reclaiming that history — and his humanity — drives the season.
Who’s in the VisionQuest cast?
Bettany leads as White Vision. Spader’s return as Ultron is the headline reunion; he last voiced the character in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The ensemble also includes James D’Arcy, Emily Hampshire, Orla Brady and Ruaridh Mollica. Reported roles point to D’Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S. and Mollica as one of Wanda’s sons. However, Marvel hasn’t officially detailed every part, so treat the specific character assignments as reported rather than locked.
How does it close the WandaVision trilogy?
VisionQuest is the third and final chapter of a loose trilogy. WandaVision started it in 2021. Agatha All Along continued it in 2024. Now this one gives Vision his own closing arc, and it picks up his thread directly from the White Vision left standing at the end of WandaVision.
Is there a VisionQuest trailer?
Not a public one — at least not yet. Marvel showed footage during Disney’s Upfronts presentation in May 2026, but that reel went to advertisers and media buyers, not fans. As of now, Marvel hasn’t released a public trailer or dated one.
Expect it in the promo push ahead of October. Still, treat any specific “trailer is dropping this week” claim as unconfirmed until Marvel actually posts it.
What’s still unknown
A few things remain up in the air. Marvel hasn’t detailed the episode-release schedule, confirmed every cast role, or laid out how deeply the series connects to the wider MCU. We’ll update this story as official details land.
Until then, the date is the thing to circle: VisionQuest arrives on Disney+ on Oct. 14, 2026.
