Blue Box Season 2 is officially here. The October 4 premiere arrived alongside fresh promotional videos. Specifically, fans got creditless opening and ending sequences.
What the Blue Box Season 2 videos feature
The music takes center stage. aiko performs the opening theme, “Anata no Hana no Iro.” Meanwhile, elsewhere kikou handles the ending theme, “blue in.”
Creditless versions are always a treat. They let viewers take in the animation without on-screen text. As a result, the sequences show off the artwork in full.
Why fans are excited for the return
Blue Box has built a passionate following. The sports-romance series blends athletic drama with tender, slow-burn feelings. Notably, that mix helped it stand out among recent anime.
The story centers on young athletes chasing their goals. It balances the pressure of competition with the ache of a first crush. Therefore, it resonates with fans of both sports and romance anime.
Theme songs matter for a show like this. A strong opening sets the emotional tone each week, and the ending lingers after the credits. Consequently, the new tracks are a big part of the hype.
Returning for a second season is a milestone in itself. Many anime never get the chance to continue. So a confirmed follow-up signals real confidence in the series.
Having both sequences available to watch separately is a nice bonus. Fans can replay their favorite at will. Meanwhile, the videos give newcomers an easy first taste.
The second season also lands in a crowded fall anime slate. Several high-profile titles are premiering around the same time. Still, Blue Box’s distinct tone helps it stand apart.
Ultimately, Blue Box Season 2 is off to a strong, stylish start. The premiere and its new videos make for a warm welcome back. For more, see more of this season’s anime premieres.
