Screamfest still has five nights to go, and they are not winding down quietly. The 26th edition runs through Thursday, October 15, at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres in Hollywood, and what’s left includes a slasher from the director of Living with Chucky, the first U.S. screening of a Prime Video zombie sequel, Michael Rooker back in the room with Henry, and a closing-night Christmas movie about some deeply suspicious neighbors.
Everything below comes from Screamfest’s own schedule and film pages as of October 10, with times in Pacific. Festival schedules move, so check the official schedule before you fight Hollywood parking. Our running coverage lives on The Nerd Wire’s Screamfest 2026 hub.
Sunday, October 11
7:00 PM, Theatre 1 (world premiere). Writer-director Scott Milam’s feature follows model Lydia Carver, who spends her days on fashion shoots and her nights on the dating scene, where she feeds the appetite that keeps her looking the way she does. The supply of men is finite. Olivia Rose Keegan, Maddie Phillips, Mishel Prada, Derek Mears and Michael Paré are in the cast. At two hours and three minutes, it’s the longest of the features listed here.
Valley View Motel, 7:15 PM, Theatre 4. A 1977-set crime thriller from directors Nick Psinakis and Kevin Ignatius: two small-time crooks run from a hitman after a diamond heist goes bad, hole up at a remote Pennsylvania motel and find something worse waiting there.
Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, 9:45 PM, Theatre 1. John McNaughton’s film screens in a 4K restoration, and the festival says Michael Rooker will be there for a Q&A.
Also Sunday: shorts blocks run from 11:30 AM in both theatres, and Rinrada the Influencer plays at 9:45 PM in Theatre 4.
Monday, October 12
Slay, 7:00 PM, Theatre 1 (North American premiere). Kyra Gardner, who made the documentary Living with Chucky, moves into narrative features with a slasher she co-wrote with Jimmi Simpson. After her best friend is murdered, teen influencer Chloe Cruz and her friends retreat to an isolated, disco-themed cabin, where a masked killer goes to work on their secrets. Zoey Luna leads a cast that includes Aya Cash, Shawnee Smith, Malina Weissman and Sean Giambrone. A Q&A follows, moderated by BJ Colangelo, with Gardner, Simpson, Luna, Giambrone and Talia Jackson announced.
213 Bones, 7:30 PM, Theatre 4 (North American premiere). Jeffrey Primm’s slasher is set in a college town in 1993, where a string of murders turns into a question of who is behind the masks. Colin Egglesfield and Dean Cameron star.
NINE, 9:45 PM, Theatre 4 (West Coast premiere). A French psychological thriller: Melanie returns to her family home with friends for one last weekend, and her fractured mind takes over from there.
Tuesday, October 13
The Exit State, 7:00 PM, Theatre 1 (world premiere). Gabriela Ledesma directs a thriller set in a near-future America sliding into authoritarian rule. Fugitives heading for the Mexican border take shelter in what looks like a safe house while a government agent closes in. Sharon Lawrence is in the cast.
Apocalypse Z: New World, 7:15 PM, Theatre 4 (U.S. premiere). Carles Torrens’ sequel to Prime Video’s Spanish zombie hit plays Hollywood more than two weeks before it streams on October 30. The programme opens with the 10-minute short Until the End, directed by Ben Rock and starring Zena Logan and Yuri Lowenthal, so the feature itself starts closer to 7:30.
The Crimson Order, 9:45 PM, Theatre 4 (world premiere). From Belgium, written and directed by Thomas Ancora: a student dies during an initiation ritual at an elite university, and things do not improve from there.
Also Tuesday: Kick On plays at 9:30 PM in Theatre 1.
Wednesday, October 14
Crawlers, 7:00 PM, Theatre 4 (North American premiere). Venomous spiders overrun an apartment building, the police quarantine it, and building manager Serena, played by Matilda Lutz, is the one person who knows the complex well enough to keep anyone alive. Angel Gómez Hernández directs. Arachnophobes have been warned.
Bite Size Terror, presented by Tubi, 7:30 PM, Theatre 1. A 90-minute anthology of short horror stories about ordinary encounters and decisions that go very wrong.
Gummy, 9:45 PM, Theatre 4 (international premiere). A lean 78 minutes from Spain. Javier Botet, one of modern horror’s great physical performers, plays a serial killer who heads out for the night looking for a victim.
Thursday, October 15
Closing Night: Christmas at the Kringles, 7:00 PM, Theatre 1 (world premiere). The festival closes on a holiday movie, more or less. A family moves in next to neighbors who celebrate Christmas all year, the dad learns they plan to hypnotize his family, and he recruits an unconventional Santa to get them back. Kevin Lewis directs Ron Livingston, Rachel Bilson, Rob Riggle, Thomas Lennon, Arden Myrin, Donald Faison and Beverly D’Angelo.
