Avatar: Seven Havens is sticking around. Paramount+ has renewed the animated sequel series for two more seasons, carrying it through Books 3 and 4, and a new animated series, Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos, has been ordered, Deadline reports. The news came out of the show’s New York Comic Con 2026 panel on Friday, October 9, timed to the release of Book 1.
So the story of Avatar Pavi and her twin sister Nisha runs at least four Books deep, per Deadline. Seven Havens is set in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and that show’s co-creators, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, were on stage for the announcement.
The outlet reports they were joined by executive producer Ethan Spaulding, co-executive producer Sehaj Sethi and voice actors Saheli Khan (Pavi), Aishu Devan (Nisha) and Major Curda (Jae), with Janet Varney, the original voice of Korra, moderating. The panel also showed a look at the making of the series and a script-to-screen clip.
What Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos is about
Per Deadline’s description, the new show follows a rebellious teenage Avatar who ditches thousands of years of tradition and picks up the four elements on globe-trotting adventures instead. Along the way he has to stay a step ahead of his angry teacher, rowdy pirates and chaotic spirits, all while helping the world on his own terms. Pirates and spirits in one logline is a solid start.
Seven Havens Book 1 schedule and what we don’t know yet

We haven’t seen an official Paramount+ or Nickelodeon announcement yet, so for now, Deadline is the source.
