Heidi Klum’s annual Halloween transformation is usually the spoiler. This year, the spoilers may be sitting on the shelf behind it.
Klum posted behind-the-scenes photos from the prosthetics workshop building her 2026 costume, and Batman fans zeroed in on the background almost immediately. Visible on the shelves: storage containers hand-labeled “Zsasz” and “Owl 3,” a cast of what looks a lot like Brian Tyree Henry with the left side of his face scarred, and a lifecast of an older man that fans are already assigning to Charles Dance. Fan account DC Film News helped the find spread, framing it as an accidental reveal of several The Batman Part II characters.
Let’s be clear about what this is: a handful of set-adjacent photos and some Sharpie on plastic tubs. Warner Bros., DC Studios and Matt Reeves haven’t commented, and nobody has officially confirmed that the shop in question is working on the sequel at all. But the labels line up so neatly with what’s been reported for months that it’s worth laying the whole picture out.

What was reportedly spotted
- A container labeled “Zsasz.” Victor Zsasz is the tally-marked serial killer who’s been rumored as Sebastian Stan’s real role since June.
- A container labeled “Owl 3.” Read by fans as a Court of Owls mask — the third of at least three.
- A facial cast resembling Brian Tyree Henry, with heavy scarring on one side — the classic Two-Face silhouette.
- An older man’s lifecast, which fans are tentatively tagging as Charles Dance, long reported to be playing Harvey Dent’s father.
Italian outlet ComicsUniverse identified the shop as The Makeup Armoury, a UK prosthetics supplier — notable because The Batman Part II has been shooting in Glasgow and London. We haven’t independently verified that attribution, and the Armoury’s involvement in the sequel isn’t confirmed.
Why this tracks with the rumors
Back in June, Jeff Sneider reported that Stan isn’t playing Harvey Dent after all — he’s Zsasz — and that Henry is the one taking on Dent and his eventual turn into Two-Face. The same report said the Court of Owls, Gotham’s centuries-old secret society of old-money families, would factor into the film. Reeves himself has only ever confirmed who is in the cast, not who they play; the Harvey Dent attribution for Stan came from trade reporting, and a Stan quote that seemed to confirm it was later scrubbed from the original interview.

Then came the set photos. In September, extras outside a Glasgow courthouse were photographed holding signs reading “Court of Fowls” and “Court of Oligarchs,” and the production’s working title already had fans pointing at the Owls. Stan has also been photographed with a shaved head — not exactly district-attorney hair, very much Zsasz hair.
So if the shop photos are what they appear to be, they don’t break news so much as corroborate it: Stan as Zsasz, Henry as Dent/Two-Face, Dance as the elder Dent, and the Court of Owls pulling strings in the background. That’s a very different Gotham from the one The Batman left us in — and a much bigger swing than “Two-Face sequel.”
The caveats
Prosthetics shops work on a lot of projects at once, and a labeled tub isn’t a casting announcement. “Owl” could be anything. The Henry lookalike cast could be a test, a stunt double, or a face that only looks like Henry at phone-camera resolution. And nothing here tells us how big any of these roles are — Sneider’s report, for what it’s worth, had Zsasz as the primary antagonist and Dent’s transformation happening on screen.
What we can say: a lot of independent breadcrumbs are now pointing the same direction, and none of them are pointing the other way.
The Batman Part II stars Robert Pattinson, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, Jayme Lawson and Gil Perez-Abraham, with new additions Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Brian Tyree Henry, Charles Dance and Sebastian Koch. Matt Reeves directs from a script co-written with Mattson Tomlin. It’s dated for October 1, 2027.
