Bloober Team's story DLC for Cronos: The New Dawn now has a Dec. 3 release date and a hunted Warden at its center.

By October 28, 2026

Bloober Team has locked in a date for the Cronos: The New Dawn story expansion. Cronos: Lazarus arrives Dec. 3, 2026, and its Steam page is already live. Bloober announced the DLC on June 10 as coming in fall 2026, so today’s news is the release date plus fresh story details.

A hunted Warden

You play as the Warden, a once-loyal Pathfinder still in the process of becoming the Warden from the base game. He’s isolated in the Terminal, cut off from the Collective and devoted to reviving a lost Essence.

That quiet doesn’t last. His sanctuary is compromised, and a new hunter is deployed with one directive: find him and eliminate him. The pursuer hasn’t been named. Bloober describes it as relentless, adaptive and able to match the Warden’s strength.

Faster, meaner combat

The base game rewards precision and picking your battles. Lazarus pushes toward faster, more aggressive fights. The Warden is scarred and not at full strength, but he moves fast and hits hard.

New abilities include leaving a decoy behind and turning temporarily invisible to enemies. You also get Pathfinder tools and technology, and the challenges get harsher. Along the way you uncover fragments of the Warden’s past and decide how far to go in defying the Collective.

What we don’t know yet

No price is listed yet, and the Steam page is the only storefront we’ve seen confirmed for the DLC so far. The base game is on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC.

Lazarus is developed by Bloober Team with PixelAnt Games, and Bloober is publishing. Bloober is also the studio behind the Silent Hill 2 remake.
