[SPOILERS for VisionQuest Episodes 1–6. Same rules as Part 1: we grade only what we published before the episode aired, every verdict links to the original, no leaks. Episode 5’s receipts are here; this is Episode 6’s.]
Episode 6 is the one that pays. The Nest opens, Jo Carrington tells her own story, and a character the show never named gets named. Here’s how our board held up. One housekeeping note: Episodes 5 and 6 dropped together, so nothing we wrote about Episode 5 counts as a receipt here.
1. The keys were locked by the other four, against their co-creator — WE CALLED IT (with an asterisk)
[Oct 24 flagship, “Which brings us to the keys” — published] We wrote: “If the keys are what they look like, whatever they unlock… was locked by the other four, not by its co-creator.” Episode 6: Carrington’s colleagues sold her code to Stark “while you lay there dying,” and her nanobots “remained locked away” behind the bio-keys of the four who sold her. That’s the prediction, confirmed in dialogue. The asterisk: in the same paragraph we offered the alternative that Carrington was missing “simply because she’s dead,” and the episode never says in so many words who turned the key. We take the call; we don’t pretend it was unhedged. What was in the lock — nanobots, “the future of the human race” — we never guessed in print; our internal ledger said “Carrington’s original work/body/consciousness,” which is close and doesn’t count.
2. “I see a family tree”: Horton → Markridge → Stark is one lineage — STRONGER THAN BEFORE (near-confirmed)
[Oct 24 flagship, “The sentence Vision says that deserves more attention” — published] Episode 6 gives the middle layer a mechanism: Carrington “used a scan of your own mind to complete Phineas Horton’s original AI code,” producing “the base code for us.” The three layers we drew are the show’s. What’s still not stated is whether Ultron sits on that tree — Paladin’s “Ultron-inspired birth at Avengers Tower” is the Age of Ultron story, not a Markridge link. Our “one-off is a lie” entry stays STRONGER THAN BEFORE, not called.
3. “Paul Denning” is a comics cover alias — UPDATE (the show built a family on it)
[Oct 21 Paladin Lore Check — published] We wrote that Denning was a comics cover identity and that explainers treating it as his real name were wrong. The MCU complicates that: Episode 6 gives him a daughter, Matilda Denning, a late wife, Chandra, and a dossier that calls him “Mr. Denning” to his face — and nobody in the scene treats the name as a cover. The Oct. 21 piece was about the comics and still holds there; it made no call about the show, and the episode never says Denning is his legal name. The Lore Check gets an update box.
4. M5-10 and the 12 Monkeys name-set — STRONGER THAN BEFORE
[Oct 24 flagship, “The Butcherbird file is written in Terry Matalas’s other show” — published] We said more 12 Monkeys markers would show up if the signature was deliberate. Paladin’s tactical AI introduces itself as “API-tactical.m510-90.” That’s M5-10 again — the designation of the virus in 12 Monkeys — in the second place a Matalas script has hidden it. Still an Easter egg, not a plot claim; we said so then and say so now.

5. Ultron is not the Client — NEW PIN (no pre-episode receipt)
[No receipt: nothing we published before Oct 27 made this call] The client terminated Paladin, hired Raza al-Wazar and a crew, gave Paladin Vision’s S.W.O.R.D. rebuild specs, and is on the phone demanding “the Synthezoid intact” while Ultron is on a date in a simulation of Paris. Whoever the client is, it isn’t him.
6. S.W.O.R.D. (or a remnant) is behind the hunt — STRONGER THAN BEFORE
[Oct 21 Paladin Lore Check, floated as a character theory, not ours — published] Paladin: “I got all of Vision’s specs from the client… his rebirth at S.W.O.R.D. where they programmed him to be a weapon.” Someone with S.W.O.R.D.’s files and Ten Rings contacts is paying. Still not a name. Still not ours to call.
7. Jocasta’s “life’s work” is a collective mind — STRONGER THAN BEFORE, but no published receipt
[Ep 5 Lore Check, published the same night Episodes 5 and 6 dropped — so not a receipt] We read the starlings monologue as a description of a hive intelligence. Episode 6: “Make them think as one. Like starlings.” Dead on, and it doesn’t count, because it wasn’t in print before the episode aired.
8. Mindscape = Stark’s Westview — STILL CONNECTING (with a new line)
[Oct 24 flagship, “Is the mindscape Stark’s Westview?” — published] Vision defines WandaVision on screen — “Wanda Maximoff was so consumed with her grief… WandaVision is that grief. On display” — and in the same breath denies his own continuity with it (“Not Thomas. Not me”). Nobody draws the parallel to his house full of memorial AIs. We still think the show is building to it. We’re still not awarding it.
9. Thomas is Tommy — STILL CONNECTING (and the show just complicated it)
[Oct 14, Oct 21 — published] “So that’s where my memories come from. Of you.” “No. Not Thomas. Not me.” Vision isn’t denying the memories exist; he’s denying they’re of this Vision. That’s exactly what we wrote in October — the memories belong to the Westview Vision, and this one has “his memories but not his feelings.” No transfer mechanism shown; Paladin’s “to kill your mother, Wanda” is Paladin reading a file. Also new: the word “Speed” turns up in a Keanu Reeves joke about the bomb in Thomas’s arm. It’s the movie title, not a codename, and nobody calls Thomas by it — but it’s the closest the show has come.
10. “Peace in our time” is Carrington’s — STILL CONNECTING
[Oct 24 standalone — published] The phrase goes unspoken again. But Carrington’s own description of her goal — “a companion… that could guide and teach… a doctor in our bloodstream” — is the humane version of a world without conflict, and Wells’s Episode 4 “the world that you wanted. Peace in our time” now has something concrete to point at. Closer. Not closed.
11. Who built Jocasta’s body — STILL CONNECTING, and the show agrees
[Oct 21 Butcherbird Lore Check, “unanswered” — published] Ultron asks it in so many words: “Where did this body come from?… Her consciousness digitized. Transferred. How? And by whom?” No answer. We’ve called this the show’s biggest unpaid debt since Episode 4. Two episodes left.
12. Vision’s power source is Wanda’s magic — STILL CONNECTING
[Oct 24 flagship, our one explicit bet — published] Not addressed. Two episodes left on the bet.
13. Sherwood Ellis — STILL CONNECTING
[Oct 14 Sherwood Ellis Canon Event — published] Nothing. Madripoor is a long way from Westview.
