Diablo IV is going portable on Nintendo’s new hardware. Blizzard confirmed at BlizzCon 2026 that Diablo IV launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 15 — the same day its new season, Season of Hell’s Legacy, goes live.
The Nerd Wire was on the ground in Anaheim for the announcement.
The Age of Hatred Collection
The Switch 2 version ships as the Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection, which bundles the base game plus both expansions, Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred. That’s the full Diablo IV experience to date in one package — a clean entry point for players jumping in on Switch 2 rather than a stripped-down port.
Landing on the same day as Season of Hell’s Legacy means new Switch 2 players walk straight into the 30th-anniversary season that resurrects Deckard Cain and the Prime Evils — a strong hook for a fresh audience.

Blizzard didn’t detail Switch 2-specific performance or feature notes at the ceremony; we’ll update if the studio shares platform specifics. What’s next for the game after that is already mapped out: the Amazon class pack in the first half of 2027 (Blizzard told PC Gamer no further expansions are currently planned, though seasons will continue), and then Diablo V in Spring 2029.
