FromSoftware Delays ‘The Duskbloods’ to 2027 to Rework Rules and Balancing

The Switch 2 exclusive had been slated for 2026; the studio says it needs more time after its network test.

By October 29, 2026

The Duskbloods will not make 2026. FromSoftware announced the Switch 2 exclusive is moving to 2027, according to Game Informer, which reports the studio shared the news in a post on the game’s X account on October 29.

In its statement, as reported, FromSoftware says the game is in its final adjustment stage but needs more time to refine its rules and balancing, and it apologized to players who have been waiting. Game Informer reports the team wants to strengthen the combat, strategic depth and player expression that its network test showed players responding to. No specific 2027 date has been given.

The delay lands after a preview session and a closed network test earlier this year; Game Informer reports the test’s server problems were fixed in a later session. The Duskbloods is a multiplayer-only Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive.
