Ryan Murphy’s horror anthology isn’t going anywhere. FX has renewed American Horror Story for Season 14, Deadline reported on Oct. 20, with TVLine reporting the same day that Murphy is developing the new season for FX and Hulu.
The news lands one week before the Season 13 finale, which airs Oct. 29 on FX. Episodes stream on Hulu the next day.
What we know about Season 14
Not much, and that’s the honest answer. No premiere date, theme, setting or cast has been announced for Season 14, and we haven’t seen an official FX statement beyond the trade reports. If you’ve seen a “confirmed” theme floating around, treat it as rumor until FX says otherwise.
The renewal is the show’s first since January 2020, when FX ordered Seasons 11 through 13 in one go.
Where Season 13 left things
Season 13 has been a returning-cast season built around a wager between the devil and God over whether the devil can survive 100 years in a human body. With the finale still to air, Season 14’s direction is anyone’s guess. Stick with our TV coverage and horror coverage for updates.
