The English dub of Dragon Ball Super: Beerus has a date. According to Screen Rant and CBR, it premieres Thursday, Nov. 12 at 8 a.m. PT on Crunchyroll, with new English episodes following weekly.
Dub cast
The English voice cast listed by both outlets is the one longtime fans know:
- Sean Schemmel as Goku
- Christopher R. Sabat as Vegeta
- Jason Douglas as Beerus
- Ian Sinclair as Whis
CBR, which credits Toei Animation and Crunchyroll with confirming the dates, adds that Spanish and Portuguese dubs also arrive Nov. 12. It lists Mario Castaneda as Goku and Jose Luis Orozco as Beerus in Spanish, and Wendel Bezerra as Goku and Marcelo Pissardini as Beerus in Portuguese. We could not open Crunchyroll’s own announcement, so the date and cast here rest on those reports.
Where things stand
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is the enhanced retelling of the original Super anime, and the subtitled version has been streaming since its Oct. 11 premiere. Our recaps have followed the Beerus arc from the start: Episode 3, when Beerus crashes Bulma’s birthday, and Episode 4, when he threatens Earth and Goku turns to Shenron.
The dub’s start is where the real question sits. Neither outlet we read specified which episode the English version opens on, so assume Episode 1 until Crunchyroll says otherwise. Crunchyroll is reported as the exclusive streaming home for the dub at launch, while the subtitled version is also available on Hulu and Netflix in supported territories.
If you have been avoiding spoilers while waiting for Schemmel’s Goku to meet Douglas’s Beerus, you have a week. Set the alarm for Thursday morning, Pacific time.
