Insomniac Games brought Marvel’s Wolverine back into the spotlight at San Diego Comic-Con with a new story trailer — and it opened with a statement: an enraged Logan in a confrontation with Jean Grey (via Marvel).
The trailer also gave fans their first real look at who Logan will be fighting. The Hand — the ninja clan long entangled with Wolverine in the comics — appear as enemies, alongside Lady Deathstrike, one of Logan’s most personal adversaries.
The Jean Grey confrontation is the tease that will fuel the most discussion. Insomniac didn’t elaborate on the story context — whether this points toward a particular comics arc or something original remains to be seen, and we won’t speculate beyond what was shown.
What’s clear is the tone: this is the Spider-Man studio working with a character whose stories run considerably darker, and the trailer leans into it.
