Square Enix has released a second trailer for Final Fantasy VII Revelation, showing off the Highwind airship for world traversal and introducing Typhon, a new Summon Materia, alongside a deeper look at the game’s job-inspired FITS system.
The trailer also reintroduces the Weapons, the towering guardian creatures tied to the planet’s life, positioning them as some of the looming threats the party will face as the story continues.
A new way to explore
The Highwind, the airship first introduced in the original Final Fantasy VII, returns as a way to traverse the world, giving players broader access to areas beyond what ground travel and chocobos allow.
The FITS system
The trailer expands on FITS, the game’s job-inspired system that assigns each party member a combat role. Cloud is shown filling a Warrior-type role, while Tifa is shown as a Black Mage, suggesting other party members will be mapped to their own distinct roles as more is revealed.
