Feige Confirms Live-Action Miles Morales Plans — After Spider-Verse Ends

By July 22, 2026

Marvel and Sony have “gone deep” on the next several Spider-Man films, Feige says — and Miles is part of the future.

The most requested character in modern Spider-Man fandom is officially part of Marvel’s live-action plans. Kevin Feige confirmed that Marvel intends to bring Miles Morales into live-action Spider-Man films once the animated Spider-Verse series concludes (via GamesRadar and The Playlist).

Feige went further on the franchise’s future, saying he and longtime Spider-Man producer Amy Pascal have “gone deep” on what the next two, three, four, even five Spider-Man movies could be.

Worth being precise about what this is and isn’t. These are planning discussions and a stated intention — not five greenlit films, and not a Miles Morales movie announcement. There’s no date, no casting, and no script confirmed. The Spider-Verse animated saga also has to conclude first, and its final installment doesn’t yet have a release date.

Still, it’s the most direct confirmation yet that live-action Miles is a matter of when, not if — a question fans have been asking since 2018’s Into the Spider-Verse turned Miles into a generational character.

The comments arrive as part of the press push for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which opens July 31 — and with Marvel Studios in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con this Saturday, the timing of any further Spider-Man news may not be far off. We’ll report what’s actually announced.
