Feige Confirms Live-Action Miles Morales Plans — After Spider-Verse Ends

By July 22, 2026

Miles Morales is coming to live action. That much is now on the record — and almost nothing else is.

Here’s the current state of play, and what we’re still waiting on.

What Marvel has actually said

Kevin Feige confirmed that Marvel intends to bring Miles Morales into live-action Spider-Man films once the animated Spider-Verse saga concludes (via GamesRadar+ and The Playlist).

Feige also described unusually long-range planning for the franchise, saying he and longtime Spider-Man producer Amy Pascal have “gone deep” on what the next two, three, four, even five Spider-Man movies could be.

What is not confirmed

Everything else. Specifically:

That’s a real distinction, and worth holding onto when you see this reported as a movie announcement. What exists is a stated intention from the person who decides — which is meaningful, and is not the same as a film.

Is Miles in Spider-Man: Brand New Day?

Not as far as anything announced. Brand New Day opens July 31 with Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, and Marvel has not indicated Miles appears in it. Feige’s comments came during that film’s press cycle, which is why the two got tangled together in coverage.

Did Comic-Con bring any Miles news?

No. Marvel Studios’ Hall H panel at SDCC 2026 delivered a substantial slate — Ryan Gosling as Ghost Rider, Black Panther 3 with a December 2028 date, Hayley Atwell returning as Peggy Carter, and more — but no Spider-Man casting or Miles announcement.

Why fans keep asking

Into the Spider-Verse arrived in 2018 and made Miles a generational character almost immediately — for a lot of viewers, the Spider-Man. Nearly a decade later, he’s arguably the most requested casting in superhero film, and the gap between how beloved he is in animation and how absent he is from live action has become its own running conversation.

Marvel’s willingness to say the plan out loud is the closest thing to an answer that conversation has gotten.

What would make this real

Watch for any of these:

We’ll update this page as each one lands.

Updated July 26, 2026: Added confirmation that Marvel’s SDCC Hall H panel did not include Miles Morales or Spider-Man casting news, plus a breakdown of what remains unannounced. We’ll keep this page current as the story develops.
